Linda Rice wins another APHA World Championship
FORT WORTH, Texas—Local Paint Horse novice amateur competitor
Linda Rice of Pismo Beach, Calif., captured a World Championship title on July 1 at the 2004 World Championship Paint Horse
Show. The show, being held in Fort Worth, Texas, through July 3, is the American Paint Horse Association’s (APHA) premier
event.
Rice captured the Championship in Novice Amateur Showmanship at Halter
showing Bumble Bee Dirty, a 10-year-old gelding. In the class, exhibitors are judged on their ability to show their animals
in hand to a panel of judges. Rice bested a field of 71 for the win.
Rice also received a Championship title on June 28 in the Novice Amateur
Hunter Hack class with Bumble Bee Dirty.
